The Sint-Laurenskerk or Grote Kerk, mostly just named Laurenskerk, is historically the main church of Rotterdam. Built between 1449 and 1525 the late Gothic Laurens Church is the only middle-age building in the centre of Rotterdam.
The Laurenskerk contains many sights. There is a permanent exhibition named ‘a monument full of histories’. Furthermore there are two graves of the sea heroes Witte de With and Egbert Kortenaer. There is also a carillon with clocks from 17th century. The Laurenskerk has four church organs. With 7600 pipes the main organ is het biggest in the Netherlands belonging to the bigger mechanic organs in the world.

Visiting the Laurenskerk is in many ways a walk through history. You can experience history, art and music in this rich monument. The price for a guide is € 5,- per person (including the entrance) for groups from 15 persons.

Climbing the church tower
Enthusiastic guides tell the story of the Laurenskerk. With the tours you can see tower and the old carillon from the 17th century amongst others. The views on top of the tower of the Laurence Church over Rotterdam are marvellous.
