The iconic bridge across the river Nieuwe Maas connects the centre of Rotterdam with the new neighbourhood Kop van Zuid. Note that the southern part of Rotterdam had always been isolated from the centre and only for that reason the bridge is very important. The Erasmusbrug has been developed by the Dutch architect Ben van Berkel from UN Studio. The bridge is probably the most photographed spot of Rotterdam.<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong>Spectacular views<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>The 802 m long suspension bridge has a 139 m high steel pylon mounted with 40 steel cables of which the nickname\u00a0&#8216;The Swan&#8217; comes. The bridge costed \u00a0166 miljoen euro that seemed to be a very good investment for several reasons. From the footpath or the bicycle lane of the bridge you can enjoy the fantastic panoramas of the Nieuwe Maas and the impressive skyline of Rotterdam.<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong>Photos Eramusbrug<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>[slickr-flickr tag=&#8221;Erasmusbrug&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4><strong><span style=\"color: #333399;\">Grand Cafe Prachtig<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Under the Erasmusbrug at the northern centre side is\u00a0<a href=\"\/?page_id=3089\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Grand Cafe Prachtig<\/a>. With a large terrace directly at the waterfront this is very popular place to eat and drink. \u00a0Even with bad wether you can enjoy the views from the grand cafe inside thanks to the big glasses.<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong>Spido Cruise<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>Under the bridge you&#8217;ll also find the office of the Spido at the Willemsplein, closely situated to the stand where the boats leave.<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong>Parking and Transport<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>Under de &#8216;toerit&#8217; of the Erasmusbrug at the centre side there is\u00a0<a href=\"\/?page_id=1661\">Parkeergarage Erasmusbrug<\/a>\u00a0that has a capacity of 327 seats.
