Acclaimed architect Rem Koolhaas together with landscape architect Yves Brunier did largely create the park. De surface area of the Museumpark is 100 by 400 metres.<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Furnishing park\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n<p>The Museumpark is divided into five areas. The first area is the rose garden with a pond and a memorial for the prominent city architect Gerrit de Jongh. The second area contains the museums Kunsthal and the Natuurmuseum. The third area is a romantic garden. The fourth area is a raised event terrain on top of a underground car park. The fifth area eventually is a crossing between city and park recognizable by white shells on the ground.<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Cultural heart<\/span><\/h4>\n<p>The six museums in and around the park are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Het Nieuwe Instituut<\/li>\n<li>Museumwoning Sonneveld<\/li>\n<li><a title=\"Museum Boijmans van Beuningen\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cityrotterdam.com\/en\/attractions\/museums-rotterdam\/boijmans-van-beuningen\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Museum Boijmans van Beuningen<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Chabotmuseum<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cityrotterdam.com\/en\/attractions\/museums-rotterdam\/kunsthal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kunsthal<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Natuurhistorisch Museum<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Note that you can visit these museums for half of the price with the so called\u00a0<a href=\"\/?page_id=1797\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Museumparkticket<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Festivals<\/span><\/h4>\n<p>The Museumpark is used for several events like the<span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cityrotterdam.com\/en\/events-calendar-rotterdam\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">De Parade<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>in summer.<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Transport and parking\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n<p>You can reach the Museumpark easily by car and public transport.
